Provide participants with practical, hands-on training in the full cycle of landscape genetics analysis, including spatial landscape analysis to prepare environmental data, molecular genetic analysis to prepare genetic data, a variety of spatial statistical methods to associate patterns of genetic data to patterns of the landscape, and simulation modeling to explore relationships between landscape patterns and population genetic processes. Methods include: regression approaches, partial mantel test, and graph-based methods. Students will have some opportunity to ask questions regarding their own datasets.
